Popham Road Bridge Construction NoticeA portion of the Metro-North northbound (outbound) platform will be closed from approximately 50 ft north of the bridge to 50 ft. south of the bridge due to the Popham Road Bridge Replacement construction work. The closure will commence on July 12th at 9:00 p.m. and will continue for the duration of the project which is schedule to be completed in December 2011. The closure will prohibit pedestrians from walking on the outbound platform under the bridge for the duration of the project and on the stairs at the corner of East Parkway and Popham Road and the stairs that lead from Popham Road to the inbound platform for approximately 6 months. Pedestrians are to follow the posted detour signs. The Village apologizes for any inconvenience this creates during this very important Village project. read more ... VOTER EDUCATION FORUMBe ready to vote this Primary Day – learn how on the new optical voting machines. There will be a voter education forum on these new voting machines at Scarsdale Village Hall on Wednesday, July 14th from 9 am until 9 pm during which ongoing sessions will be held. The sessions will take place in the 3rd Floor meeting room.
Demonstrations and hands-on instruction will be provided by the Westchester County Board of Elections. The new electronic machines will be in use for the Primary Election on September 14th and all elections thereafter. No registration for this forum is required.

Scarsdale Police Department RelocationBeginning in June of 2009, a major renovation project will begin on the Scarsdale Public Safety Building, that will last approximately 18 months. Public access to the Police Department will take place at a temporary dispatch trailer located directly across the street from the existing building on the corner of Fenimore Road and Tompkins Road. The Temporary Police Trailer will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Among LISWIC's goals are a cleaner and safer Long Island Sound Watershed. In pursuit of this goal, The Village of Scarsdale, on behalf of LISWIC, received a grant in 2004 to study the potential benefits of a Regional Stormwater Management District.
