 Mission Statement

The Scarsdale Fire Department is committed to the protection and preservation of life, property and environment from the adverse effects of fire and hazardous conditions through prevention, education, suppression, training and constant diligence.                                            

We will be responsive to the needs of our citizens by providing rapid, professional, humanitarian services essential to the health, safety, and well being of the Village. We also endeavor to protect and preserve the health of our membership and to return our personnel safely to their families.

We will actively participate in our community, serve as role models, and strive to effectively and efficiently utilize all of the resources at our command to provide a quality of service deemed excellent by our citizens. We will treat the public and each other with respect and at all times we will act with courage, integrity, and dignity.

Due to the renovation/expansion of the Public Safety Building, the Fire Department personnel, offices and apparatus formerly housed at Fire Headquarters were temporarily relocated to the Central Maintenance Facility on Ramsey Road for the duration of the construction. Construction commenced in July of 2009 and is scheduled to be completed by December 2010.

 
The Fire Inspector will accept permit applications through regular mail or via the front desk at the Building Department. Normal inquiries can be made by phone (722-1219) or E-mail (amignone@scarsdale.com ).
