Holiday Camps & Vacation Clubs
In our vacation clubs, time will fly as the children enjoy stories, games, "eco-dramas", educational activities including crafts and up close and personal visits with Weinberg's animal family.  Pack a lunch.  Dress for weather.  Program offered during Scarsdale School Holidays and Vacation Breaks. Nature Tots (Mommy & Me)
This class introduces wee ones to the natural world via different topics each week with crafts, games, stories, walks and play dates with the animals.

Kinder-Bugs
Make new friends at the Weinberg Nature Center's Kinder-Bugs program.  Each class we learn of a different habitat of the world. We will meet and play with some animals that live there such as turtles, lizards, a chinchilla & more!

Bat & Owl Prowl
Dare to venture out at night? Come in costume with friends and family as we trek through the shadows on a night hike, (bring flashlights) to look for nocturnal creatures.  Meet Kristen's Jungle Jamboree "creatures of the night" that symbolize Halloween.  Star gazing for kids weather permitting.  Free snacks. Non-scary fun!

Fall Festival
Join us for a fun filled afternoon of autumn activities!  Fee will include Apple Cider making, haystack dive for goodies, nature walks, live animal shows, arts & crafts, face painting, music, snacks and more!!!

Nature Adventures (Select Saturdays: TBD)

Walk the trails, play a game, craft a project, investigate some clues and meet furry, feathery, scaly, slimy, and cuddly animals we call family.

Earth Day @ Weinberg Nature Center : TBD
Afterschool Earth day fun! Guest speaker and children's author Andrew "Chowder" Kranichfeld will be visiting the WNC and will do a special reading of his endearing book entitled "Karen's Garden". Following the reading a Q&A with the author himself.  Earth day inspired activities will be done and you'll even be able to take home some really cool crafts.

Spring Eco-Fest @ the Weinberg Nature Center (TBD)

Come out and enjoy the day at our SPRING ECO-FEST. Enjoy Live Animal shows, Nature crafts, Games, Face painting, Scavenger hunt, Live music, Lunch Fare available, and much more!  Program will run from 12pm-4pm.  Fee: TBD/person, children under 2 are free.

June Bugz

Westchester Colonial Greenway
(courtesy Westchester County) The Colonial Greenway is a 14.5 mile unpaved trail loop system, linking numerous open spaces and spanning 5 municipalities in southeastern Westchester County. It utilizes the Hutchinson River Pathway and the Leatherstocking Trail, as well as existing trail systems within county and local parks and nature preserves. County Planning and Parks Department staff are currently working with  the local municipalities to make improvements and close small gaps in what will be a premier regional trail facility. click here for a Colonial Greenway PDF map
