Volunteers Needed for Boards and CouncilsThe Personnel Committee of the Village Board is asking residents interested in volunteering to serve on Village Boards and Councils to submit their names for consideration. New terms will begin April 5, 2010. This year, there are openings on most Boards and Councils. While incumbents may be reappointed to fill some of the positions, many of those serving are not eligible for reappointment. The Committee strongly encourages residents to apply for these positions.

Water Bills Reportedly Not Received for the November 1, 2009 BillingQuarterly water bills were mailed on Monday Feb. 1. Over the next several days the Treasurer’s Department and the Water Department received numerous comments from customers who had not received their November bills, and consequently were assessed penalties on their February bills.
Based on the number of complaints received we performed an analysis based on penalties assessed on a geographic basis within the Village to determine whether or not a billing problem had occurred. The analysis led to the conclusion that several hundred customers did not receive bills in November. The affected area is south of Crossway from Weaver Street to Mamaroneck Road and includes Saxon Woods Golf Course. All penalties assessed for the months of December through February for those parcels will be reversed. If your address is within the affected area and you have paid your bill, you will see a credit on the May water bill.
We regret any inconvenience this may have caused. If you have any further questions, please call the Water Billing Department at 722-1172. read more ...
