The Village of Scarsdale has partnered with Blackboard Connect to provide for emergency notifications . Although the system automatically retrieves phone numbers from the 911 system, these are typically landlines; neither mobile devices or email addresses are automatically included. The Village frequently uses this this tool to update residents on it's storm preparation, response, and to declare local states of emergency. This is one of the fastest ways to receive up-to-date information from the Village regarding local storm and emergency situation that are emerging and active in nature.
Upon signing up, you will be asked to provide an address, email contact(s) and phone numbers. Residents are encouraged to customize their Blackboard Connect contact information to include all appropriate contact phone numbers, as well as to include preferred methods of contact, e.g., text messaging, email, etc.
Residents may also wish to sign up for the Westchester County Alert System, NY-Alert (Statewide), or Notify NYC.
Lastly, residents are encouraged to sign up to receive official community news and information through Notify Me. Press Releases may contain important information that is neither time sensitive nor rises to the threshold for community wide instant notification. When subscribing, we suggest signing up for Press Releases and Scarsdale Official, which are the two lists most likely to contain information of broad community interest or need.
