LED Streetlights Initiative

The Village is in the process of evaluating the conversion of all streetlights to LED? Converting to LED lights will save energy and money. There are LED lights in the field for testing now around the Village. Leaves: Love 'Em & Leave 'Em (a.k.a. Mulch Mowing)

The Village of Scarsdale participates in the Love 'Em & Leave 'Em campaign and mulch mows leaves on all public property? Mulching leaves saves both time and money while also providing natural environmental benefits. The Village of Scarsdale encourages all residents to mulch mow. Rain Barrels 

The Village provides residents rain barrels free of charge! A rain barrel captures runoff from your roof and stores it for future activities like watering your lawn or washing your car. To learn more about rain barrels and their benefits please click here

Recycle Your Textiles 

Your textiles and clothes can be recycled? Instead of adding to the waste stream, please recycle your unwanted textiles at the Village Recycling Facility located at 110 Secor Road. To learn more please click here

Sustainable Landscaping Guidelines. 

The Village of Scarsdale encourages all residents to landscape their homes in a sustainable manner? The Conservation Advisory Council has prepared tips & tricks for homeowners to use in sustainable landscaping practices, which can be found by visiting the CAC's landscaping guidelines webpage
