The Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation needs your help!
While we await determination from New York State as to whether our Municipal Pool Complex will be authorized to open this year, and if so what type of restrictions or mandates they may impose, we are undertaking a community survey to determine resident interest in purchasing a 2020 Pool Membership for a shortened season.
We are keenly aware of the public health benefits of recreation, as well as the impacts that COVID19 have had on Scarsdale youth by limiting recreational opportunities and social interactions. We are hopeful that the State will authorize us to open the pool, and further that our residents will respond very favorably if we do.
However, the cost of preparing for the pool opening and its ongoing operations are significant. Therefore, we need to know whether public interest supports making the investment. Your response does not obligate you to join the pool, we are simply looking for feedback. The survey link is provided below and should take no more than five or ten minutes of your time.
We ask that only one survey be completed per household, and that you encourage your Scarsdale friends, neighbors, and colleagues to complete it. All survey responses are due by Friday, June 05, 2020. Thank you for your help, and we remain hopeful that the community will support a wonderful, though shortened 2020 pool season!
