THIS FALL 2021, as the opportune growing season peaks and ends, your work begins as you utilize common garden and newer approaches to farming to grow food (aeroponic, hydroponic). Here you will support the resident animals at the Weinberg Nature Center, prepare plants for community sale to support the Nature Center, and (of course) for you to take choice plantings home!
We will learn how to maximize growing cycles, germination, seedlings and cuttings to grow vegetables year-round. There will be a discussion on how these gardening techniques can be used at home even to combat world hunger. We will provide active research to inspire residents to follow forth and draw from these year-round farming techniques.
