Take the Communications Survey!

The Ad-Hoc Committee on Communications needs your feedback! Survey responses will be used to help improve Village communications with residents, and everyone's perspective is important. If you've already completed the survey, please encourage a friend, family member, or neighbor to do so -- we would really like to hear from residents that our traditional communication strategies do not reach, so we need your help in spreading the word. The survey deadline is quickly approaching, so complete the survey today!

Heathcote Five Corners Construction

Yeah, it's that time of year again . . . when necessary infrastructure improvements impede the timely flow of traffic. ConEd's gas main upgrade project on Palmer Avenue in the Heathcote Five Corners area and on Mamaroneck Road has created traffic issues. Village staff, including Police, Public Works, and the Manager's Office, are working diligently to minimize the associated disruptions. Sign-up to receive Press Releases through Notify Me in order to receive the latest updates. Thank you for your patience this construction season!

Berwick Road Arrests Made

The Scarsdale Police Department (SPD), in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, has arrested two suspects in conjunction with the April 2017 occupied home burglary on Berwick Road. SPD's professionalism is recognized through the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies, a distinction continuously reaffirmed on a five-year cycle since 1990, as one of the first agencies in New York to be so recognized. Kudos to Scarsdale PD for their crime-fighting expertise!

Village Board Meeting Update

The Village Board's June 27th agenda included a particularly noteworthy item: The Scarsdale Water Department was authorized to spend up to approximately $111,000 to continue its efforts to modernize water meters throughout the community. Not only will the new water meters be more reliable, thereby reducing field maintenance needs, but they are also essential in our plan to automate water meter reading, saving the Village time, money, and fuel. For more info, see last night's Village Board Agenda Item (page 39).
