"We hope to educate our residents on how to stay safe and what to do in an emergency, as well as provide a public window into the Fire Department's daily activities," related Chief Jim Seymour. Seeing the Forest Through the Trees

The Village of Scarsdale Conservation Advisory Council, in collaboration with staff and Friends of Scarsdale Parks, has undertaken a review of our local tree law. Following issuance of their 2013 Initial Report and subsequent updates in 2014 and 2015, proposed modifications to the Village Code have been advanced and will be reviewed and discussed at a Joint Meeting of the Village Board's Law and Sustainability Committees on September 12th at 6:30 PM. Interested community members are encouraged to attend the meeting.

Village Board Meeting Update

The August 22, 2017, Village Board meeting was a "Limited Agenda." As such, the Village Board did not take action on any agenda items, though they did approve the prior Regular Meeting minutes, as well as the Bills. There are a number of upcoming meetings, so residents and other interested parties are encouraged to visit the Village Board Meeting Calendar to review the upcoming schedule. Future meeting topics include limitations on Commercial Firearm Sales, the Communications Committee's report, FY 2016/17 Financial Audit, and others.
