Low SALT Tax Plan?

Because the 2018 federal income tax deduction of real property taxes may get capped at $10,000, the Village of Scarsdale is taking action to empower local property owners to prepay in 2017 as much of their 2018 property tax as is permissible under New York State law, which translates into only the Westchester County portion of one's property tax bill. However, in order for us to do this, a number of pieces must fall into place, including Westchester County approving its 2018 budget with sufficient time left in 2017 for us to expedite issuance of 2018 tax bills.

Shop Local. Park . . . Free!

No, that wasn't a typo -- beginning on December 18th and running through December 25th, any downtown business district metered parking location featuring the red "Season's Greetings" holiday bag will provide up to two hours of FREE parking. While we appreciate that the Village Center is becoming much more exciting, with new stores opening and increased visitor and shopper attractions, please be sure to adhere to the two hour limit so others can also experience the joy of FREE PARKING this holiday season!
