FY 2018-2019 Budget Development

Village staff are working diligently to prepare the 2018-2019 annual budget. The budget process includes a series of public meetings and staff budget presentations. The first Village Board Finance Committee budget discussion is scheduled for January 18th at 6:30 p.m. in the Village Hall Third Floor Meeting Room. Prior year budgets are available online here. Sound fiscal policies, including a conservative approach to budgeting and maintaining appropriate cash reserves, contribute to the Village's continued Aaa bond rating and overall fiscal health.

Talking Trash

No, not verbal abuse, actual trash . . . and recycling. A recent Sanitation Study completed by the Conservation Advisory Council has recommended changes to the Sanitation Schedule and services provided. Proposals targeting increased recycling include initiating curbside  food scrap pick-up, increasing recycling pick-ups, and establishing a drop-off furniture recycling program. To remain budget-neutral, commingled recycling pick-up would shift from rear yard to curbside pick-up. The next public meeting will be January 30th at 7:00 p.m.
