See Something, Say Somehting

It's a phrase we would rather not need in American society. However, continued threats to public safety and private property call for vigilance in observing one's surroundings and alerting law enforcement officials. The Scarsdale Police Department encourages members of the community to contact the police directly when they believe they have information or observations that the police department should be made aware of. Scarsdale PD can be reached directly at 914-722-1200, or by using 911; use a landline for the fastest emergency response.

House Under Construction (jpg)

Be Smart, Not Sorry

Home remodeling and construction is a major investment. The permits required for such work not only help to ensure that the project complies with applicable land use and building code requirements, but they also serve to help protect your investment. As a property owner, be sure that you not only establish with your contractor a clear payment schedule tied to proof of passed inspections, but also that you withhold final payment until you receive upon project completion a Certificate of Occupancy covering the full scope of work performed.
