Bik Fix-It Station

Reinvent the Wheel?

No, just repair it! As part of our continuing commitment to encouraging alternative transportation, there's a brand spanking new bike repair station in the Village Center by the taxi stand! Yup, that's right cyclists. We appreciate your efforts to stay healthy while also reducing parking demands and cutting both vehicle traffic and associated emissions. We've also added a few new bike racks. Like they used to say in the 60's, Power to the Peddles!  . . . or was that People?? In any case, we hope you use and enjoy the new amenities. Peace-out, cyclists.

It's Time to PARTY!!

This isn't a flashback to the Studio 54 or CBGB days in NYC. We're talking wholesome family fun on select Fridays throughout summer. Live music. Singing. Balloon Animals. Face painting. Parks. Parties in the Park have become a community tradition that all Scarsdalians should experience; there's something for everyone. While you're free to dust off your platform shoes or to sport some Virgil Abloh post-punk fashions, don't count on multi-color flashing dance floors or Marshall stacks -- just kid friendly, family-oriented FUN!

Public Works First Res ponder Campaign Logo

The Other First Responders

The label "First Responder" often evokes images of police and fire personnel. However, many others, including skilled Public Works personnel, are responsible for the protection and preservation of life, property, evidence, and the environment during the early stages of an incident. The depicted logo helps to raise public awareness of the critical role that public works personnel, in particular, play in emergency management. Thanks to all of our First Responders, including public works, public health, clinical care, and others!

Village Board Meeting Update

The Village Board's Regular Meeting held on July 10, 2018, featured five items, including three agreements with the School District, one to support tax collection for the Charitable Gift Reserve Fund (p. 42), a second to extend the running track lease (p.140), and third to support Youth Services (p. 51). It's also noteworthy that there were two Village Board Committee meetings, one about Retail Gun and Vape Store Siting, and the other about proposed Tree Law amendments. Please review the meeting calendar for future meeting dates and information.
