Assessment Info (jpg)

Property Assessments

The 2019 Tentative Assessment Role is expected to be filed this week, but no later than Monday, June 03, as the statutory deadline falls on a Saturday this year. Simultaneously, a letter will be sent to the owner(s) of any property with an assessment change. All property owners are encouraged to review their assessment for accuracy, noting that the date of valuation is July 01, 2018, and fair market value can be determined by dividing the assessed value by the 2019 equalization rate, .9475 (94.75%). Grievance Day is June 18, by phone appointment only.

Here's a Scarsdale Insider Secret: Happiness happens at Scarsdale Day Camps. Indeed, it does. However, your family is going to be sad if you don't register on-time. So, don't be a Debbie Downer or Bob Bummer. To make it under the wire, register by June 10 in order to attend starting July 01. See numbered pages four through six of the 2019 Spring/Summer Recreation Brochure for more info about the outstanding camps for different age groups. Then, register online without delay! Our camps are safe, secure, and lest we forget: FUN for all!

Pango Parking App Logo (jpg)

Pango

It's neither a new form of dance from Buenos Aires, though you may be dancing with glee when you're able to remotely avoid a parking summons, nor is it an updated Django, Italian film buffs and Tarantino fans -- this is no Spaghetti Western. Rather, Pango is the new parking app being launched in June 2019 to make Village Center parking more convenient, enabling shoppers and diners to spend more time supporting local merchants and restaurants without being concerned about the parking meter. Download the app and register by June 1!

Give a Hoot, Don't Pollute!

According to Harvard Health, a study conducted by the U.S. Geological Survey in 1999 and 2000 found measurable amounts of one or more medications in 80% of the water samples drawn from a network of 139 streams in 30 states. Help do you part to address the problem by properly disposing of unused prescription drugs. The Scarsdale Police Department provides a Drug Disposal Unit that allows the public to safely dispose of prescription and over the counter medications. Neither medical waste nor sharps or accepted, though.
