Butler Field Lights

Join the Scarsdale Village Board and Scarsdale Board of Education for a joint meeting on the topic of proposed stadium lights for Butler Field, which is located at Scarsdale High School. The proposed installation is the subject of varying community viewpoints, meriting this joint meeting to collaboratively consider such perspectives. The joint meeting is being held at Scarsdale Congregational Church, One Heathcote Road, on Wednesday, June 19, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. All residents are encouraged to attend.

Rip Current and Swimming Safety

The CDC reports that about ten people die from unintentional drowning every day, and two are children aged 14 or younger. With summer break eminent, the time is right for refreshing your rip current and swimming safety knowledge. Oddly enough, rip currents occur in both fresh and marine environments. Here is one of the most important safety tips: Make sure everyone in your family learns to swim well. Fortunately, swim lessons are available at the Scarsdale Pool Complex, where swimming is both safe and fun!

Looking for Something to Do?

Of course, the first consideration should be to check for Scarsdale community events, Village recreation opportunities, and options for shopping and dining local. However, did you also know that Westchester County maintains an event calendar featuring area activities that may be of interest? Prefer a homework assignment, or just have a little time to burn? Well, check out the updated Resident Tab on our Village website and let us know what you think -- feedback is welcome and encouraged! We hope to see you around the 'Dale this summer.
