It's a Blast!

Join friends and neighbors at the annual fireworks display being held at approximately 9:15 PM on Tuesday, July 02, at the Scarsdale Pool Complex! The Westchester Band will once again be featured at this year's fireworks spectacular, with a performance starting at 7:30 PM. Here's a Scarsdale Official Insider tip: Get there before 8:00 PM to save $5 per person. A $5.00 fireworks fee is charged to all non-pool members entering the pool, starting at 5:00 PM. Beginning at 8:00 PM, ALL individuals entering the pool complex will be charged $5.00.

It's Bloomin' Crazy!

In addition to completing myriad other tasks and projects, did you know that Scarsdale's dedicated Public Works professionals plant over 700 flowers and plants each spring? That's bloomin' crazy! So, when you take time to smell the roses, give a nod to those hard working guys and gals that make color happen. Also, here's a Scarsdale Official shout-out to one of our community partners, Friends of Scarsdale Parks: Thanks for the work you do in this area, as well! Among other things, FOSP adds a floral splash of color to the Village Hall entryway each year. 

Library Loft Summer Hours

The Library Loft, temporary home of the Scarsdale Public Library, has summer hours in effect from June 24 through August 31. The Loft is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday. The Loft is closed on Sundays and certain holidays. If you're like us here at Scarsdale Official, we can't wait for the main library to reopen! The renovated space will include a sun-filled reading gallery, dedicated children's program space, a makers space, a Teen Room, and, oh . . . great books and more!

Village Board Meeting Update

The June 25 Village Board agenda included such items as review and authorization of two Community Development Block Grant applications, one for Girl Scout House improvements (p. 117) and the other for a Village Hall elevator upgrade (p. 147). Among other items, the agenda also included allocating an additional $221,000 to Road Resurfacing (p. 81). Two Work Sessions were also held on the topics of Assessor Recruitment and Butler Field Lights. The next Regular Meeting is on July 09, 2019. Check the calendar for more dates & topics.
