Freightway Concepts: Let's Talk

It may have seemed like a long wait, but the time is near. At 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 11, developers will present to the public their proposed design concepts for Freightway Site redevelopment. The Village Board strongly encourages your participation in this next exciting stage of contemplating the Freightway Site's future. Whatever its future may hold, one thing is clear: Any redevelopment project that advances for construction will need to first prove it pencils on a net community benefit basis. Calendar this one, Scarsdalians. Freightway. 12/11. Be there. Listen. Talk. Participate.

Light the 'Dale

Despite our firm commitment to recycling at Scarsdale Official, we don't typically recycle our news items. However, this one is worth repeating: Light the Dale is on December 06 in Boniface Circle! The festivities begin at 5:00 PM, and Santa will be arriving in-style on a fire truck shortly thereafter. Children of all ages are encouraged to enter for a chance to join Mayor Marc Samwick on the podium to light the menorah and tree; the lucky person must be present at 5:30 PM to win. Don't miss this treasured community tradition, Scarsdalians!
